Maven Indexes view provides a single place to view and manage repository indexes. From this view you can add, remove and update repository indexes and also browse their contents:
To add new index you need to specify repository name/id and repository url. By default index is using <repository url>/.index/ as an index location, but you can specify an alternative location in case if index can't be deployed to the Maven repository. For example here is how you register index for Tarracotta Maven repository:
Please refer to Nexus Indexed Maven Repositories if you are looking for publicly available Maven repositories with Nexus indexes that you can add to your m2eclipse installation.
Please note that if you add Nexus indices to m2eclipse, and you want the artifacts to be resolvable, you must edit your settings.xml file or pom.xml file accordingly.
If Nexus index is available at the specified repository (e.g. one created using Nexus Indexer CLI, or Sonatype repository manager) it will be automatically downloaded:
